Eddie Murphy and his girlfriend Melanie Brown might have been quite a couple, but not now both of them are soon to be single, for Murphy has officially announced his split from her.
Thw news of their split became public after Murphy broke it to paparazzi during a promotion for Dreamgirls on the RTl boulevard. He was asked about his relationship with Mel B: "So, are you happy with her? Because she is pregnant from your child." To this he replied, "But you're being presumptuous, because we're not together anymore, and we don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test.You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir." So not only is he splittig from her, he has also brushed away any doubts about the paternity of the child.
The duo started seeing each other in June, just two months after Murphy split from his wife of 12 years, Nicole. Mel is thought to be five months' pregnant with his child. She already has a seven-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from her previous marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
