He might have shot to fame with Spiderman, but it seems Tobey Maguire has grown out of playing the daredevil hero. He is no longer keen to be a part of the sequels of the movie and wants to play varied roles.
Tobey has portrayed Spiderman in the first two movies and is just not keen to lend his acting skills to the third movie in the series.
“‘Spider-Man 3’ might be a good place to stop - I am not tied contractually to any more Spider-Man movies. I am not completely closed to the idea of another one if it made sense but I would say the odds were in favour of this being the last one,
”he was quoted as saying.
The reason for this reluctance is that not only does he want to play varied roles that offer new challeneges but also wants to spend more time with his family. He recently turned dad with the birth of his daughter, Ruby Jane from designer fiancée Jennifer Meyer. The two have been announced their engagement in April after a relationship of three years and are yetto get married.
